2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you fill in the contact form on gamequest.sk we ask you for:

• Your full name — so we know how to address you in our reply.
• Your email address — so we can answer you.
• The type of service you're interested in (paid lesson, free consultation, career prep, or other).
• The content of your message — anything you choose to share with us.

2.2 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. There is currently one such cookie:

• NEXT_LOCALE — set by the i18n framework to remember your language (Slovak or English). Lifetime: session / 1 year depending on your browser.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data you provide only for the purposes you'd reasonably expect:

• Replying to your message and arranging a consultation, lesson, or career-prep session.
• Sending you the practical information you asked for (timing, pricing, lesson plan).
• Improving how we explain our services based on the questions students ask most often.
• Meeting our legal obligations (e.g. tax / accounting if you become a paying student).

4. Analytics & Tracking

Game Quest does not currently use Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracker. No behavioural data is collected. If this ever changes we will update this policy and add a consent banner asking for your consent before any tracker loads.

5. Information Sharing

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only third parties that handle your data are the technical service providers strictly necessary to deliver the service:

• Mailtrap — transactional email delivery for the contact form (described below).
• Our hosting provider — operates the servers gamequest.sk runs on, with EU-based or GDPR-compliant infrastructure.

5.1 Email Delivery — Mailtrap

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, service-type selection, and message are sent through Mailtrap (Railsware Products Studio LLC) so that we receive them in our inbox. Mailtrap acts as our processor and only processes the data on our instructions.

6. Data Security

We protect your personal data with reasonable, industry-standard measures:

• All traffic between your browser and gamequest.sk is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
• Only Alexandra Šebestová has access to the inbox where contact-form messages land.
• We do not store your contact-form data in a separate database — the message lives only in our email inbox until it's no longer needed.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, but we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data when there is no longer a good reason for us to hold it.
• Right to restriction — ask us to pause processing while a complaint is being resolved.
• Right to data portability — receive the data you provided in a portable format.
• Right to object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address in section 13. We'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.sk).

8. Managing Cookies

You're in control of cookies. Through your browser settings you can:

• View and delete individual cookies, including the NEXT_LOCALE cookie set by gamequest.sk.
• Block all cookies from a specific site, or all sites.
• Set your browser to ask before accepting any cookie.

Note: Disabling the NEXT_LOCALE cookie may make the language switcher forget your choice between visits. It does not track you.

9. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as we genuinely need it:

• Contact-form messages — kept in our inbox for up to 24 months from your last contact, then archived or deleted.
• Records of paid lessons (invoicing data) — kept for 10 years as required by Slovak accounting law.

If you'd like us to delete your data sooner, just email us and we'll handle it.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our processors may transfer or store data outside the European Economic Area:

• Mailtrap operates servers in the EU and the United States. Transfers outside the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
• We don't initiate any other international transfers of your data.

11. Children's Privacy

Game Quest welcomes students of any age, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without verifiable parental or legal-guardian consent. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us data without your consent, please email us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when our practices change or the law requires it:

• We'll post the new version at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date.
• If a material change affects cookies or third parties, we'll add a consent banner asking for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
• Significant changes will also be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period.

Continuing to use gamequest.sk after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
